Leio grows up to be a gorgeous boy

This is Leio, a Yuletide puppy born last year
to Diamond and Lorenzo. Leio was tuckered out
on his first day home. A year later, he clearly
owns the couch. There are two puppies that look
like Leio in the repeat breeding born 2 days ago.
Leio is a great advertisement for my breeding
program because he is so stunning.

Luana has 8 black beauties!

Hours after sister Diamond delivered, Luana added these 8
beautiful black puppies to the Blue Run family. There are 4
boys and 4 girls. Some have white chests and some are all black.
All are wavy. These puppies are in Farmingdale, New Jersey and
will be placed in homes nearby by Juanita Casey. Contact her at

These babies were sired by GCH Riverwood's Prince of Tides
 ( Ripp.)

Diamond has delivered!

Puppies arrived last night, 6 boys and two girls, 
averaging a whopping 15 oz.  Diamond is tuckered 
out and so am I. I'm happy to see the 3 brown pups 
as I don't often have brown. And those two parti 
colored puppies are going to stop traffic!

Sisters are expecting one day apart February 21 and 22, 2020

Luana

Last year Diamond had a lovely litter of 9 puppies. Sister
Luana was also bred but had no babies. Now, both girls are
pregnant and due just one day apart.
Luana is a brown piebald. Her puppies with GCH Riverwood's
Prince of Tides will most likely be black with some white on
chest and paws. Luana's show career (she lacks two points to
finish her championship) was interrupted for this breeding.

 Diamond, who is black tuxedo marked, has been rebred to
CH Aquafortis Lorenzo Alexander Robel, a handsome brown stud.
Her puppies 12/26/2018 were both black and brown with one Irish
marked, one particolor, and one piebald. The remainder had
tuxedo markings. We expect much the same but I'm hoping for
mostly girls. (8 boys, 1 girl last time!)
All puppies will be wavy in both litters.

Porty Party!

I encourage my owners to get to know each other and to have
play dates with puppies. These four families are enjoying their
pooches from the October litter and the children are making new
friends, too. This is one of the many reasons I try to place my
puppies with families in the greater Washington D.C. area.

Ollie will be getting new siblings soon

 Ollie's mom, Diamond, is pregnant. She has 6 or 7 pups
due February 21. This is a repeat breeding in hopes of getting
more lovely puppies like Ollie who is pictured here at
one year of age. This nice deep brown is unusual in
Porties as most have a fading gene and get coffee au
lait colored. I hope Ollie stays this nice rich color.

The Veterans' Litter has landed

Juniper delivered 5 boys and 3 girls without drama. The
X-ray count was accurate and the puppies are all lovely
and vigorous.

Puppies are up and walking

The puppies in this litter are so gorgeous. This is
one of the boys with his Michael Jackson glove
(on the wrong paw). He and his litter mates are
walking around the pen and sitting up now. I'm
waiting for the first bark. I am interviewing
families and taking deposits currently.

All 7 doing well

Juliette is so much more comfortable now that she has
delivered these enormous puppies. The smallest was 12
ounces! They will be going to their homes just before  Christmas.

The Special Litter is here

There are two curly boys and 5 wavy girls in this handsome litter
of puppies. They are all black and five have white blazes on the
chest. All puppies weighed more than 12 ounces at birth and the
two boys weighed over a pound. No wonder Juliette looked so huge!
Juliette whelped efficiently and is an attentive mother.

Juliette expecting 7 this week; Juniper expecting 7+ in November

Juliette had her prewhelp X-ray today and the vet counted
7 babies who are due this Friday. Juniper's co-owner sono-
gramed her over the weekend (she is a high risk OB physician)
and thinks there are 7 to 9 puppies. Juniper will deliver on
November 13th. I will post an up date on Juliette after the
whelp. I'm thinking all black dogs.....we shall see. Fingers
crossed for a good whelp!

Rascal and Juniper Mating is in the works

Rascal and Juniper are going to rendezvous this
month with puppies expected mid November.
GCH Amigo Redux is a black wavy dog with a
white chest. I expect only wavy dogs, only black,
with some white on chest and paws. Blue Run's
Riverwood Juniper is pictured below. She's
a pretty all black wavy girl.
And in other news, Juliette is definitely pregnant
with puppies due October 11 at noon.

October puppies are Planned

Next week we'll know for sure if CH Blue Run's Juliette
is pregnant.
She was mated with CH Blue Run's Riverwood Khumbu.
Khumbu is all black and Juliette has just a bit of white on
her chest. We expect mostly black puppies from this
breeding and most, if not all, will be wavy. Both dogs are
the "ideal" size according to the breed standard. This is
a line breeding with 8% coefficient of inbreeding so I
expect a very uniform litter. Khumbu has an "excellent"
hip rating and Juliette is rated "good" by OFA.

No August puppies after all

Luana had a sonogram today and there are no puppies.
This is my first total miss in 18 years of breeding.
We have Juniper, Kali, Juliette, and Diamond in the
queue. Three of these girls are supposed to go into heat
next month. Hopefully, we will have better luck with
one of them and will have puppies going out at
Christmas time. I was so looking forward to having
puppies during nice weather for once!
